Annabelle’s debut feature, MICKEY AND THE BEAR, tells the story of a teenage girl tasked with taking care of her single, veteran, opioid-addicted father in the small town of Anaconda, Montana. MICKEY premiered at SXSW to critical acclaim, and went on to make its international premiere at Cannes Acid. Other notable festivals include Deauville, Marrakech, and Cameraimage. It was acquired and distributed by Utopia and holds an 100% rating on RottenTomatoes. “This is one of the most exciting breakout films of the year, introducing Attanasio as a vibrant new voice in American cinema. More, please.” — Ann Hornaday, The Washington Post

“Attanasio has made a sharp, affecting film that's brimming with darkness and hope, every instant of it vividly alive.” Sheri Linden, The Hollywood Reporter

“This is the debut feature by by actor-filmmaker Annabelle Attanasio…but it's so assured that it feels like it could be her third or fourth movie.” — Matt Zoller Seitz, RogerEbert.com
